Full-Time Role | September Start | New Specialist Autism School
A specialist education recruitment consultant is currently working on behalf of a newly opening specialist school in St Albans seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to join their leadership team from September.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious SENCO to become part of a brand-new provision supporting children aged 4 to 13 years whose primary diagnosis is autism, alongside related speech, language and communication needs, developmental delay and social development difficulties.
The successful SENCO will have the opportunity to help shape SEND provision from the beginning and play a key role in ensuring pupils receive outstanding support tailored to their individual needs.

The Role - SENCO
The successful SENCO will oversee the coordination of special educational needs provision across the school and ensure pupils receive high-quality support.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading SEND provision across the St. Albans school
Supporting staff with effective strategies for autism and additional needs
Working with families and external professionals
Overseeing EHCP processes and reviews
Supporting assessment and progress tracking
Developing inclusive teaching approaches
Working closely with therapists and education professionalsAbout The Ideal SENCO Candidate

Holds or is working towards the NASENCO qualification
Has experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs
Understands SEND legislation and best practice
