Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a great company based on the outskirts of Horsham, in the Partridge Green area. This is an office based Health & Safety advisory role, working closely with the H&S Manager, maintaining practical, compliant safe systems, carrying out risk assessments, inspections and investigations etc.
Salary: £45K dependent on exp
Location: Partridge Green, Horsham - West Sussex area. Due to the rural location, own transport required
Hours: 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday
Health & Safety Advisor duties:
Maintain awareness of relevant UK H&S legislation and best practice
Conduct and develop new risk assessments
Assist in the development of the risk control systems
Carry out and review fire risk assessments for simple buildings and events
Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments
Deliver and coordinate H&S inductions
Maintain H&S records and performance data (e.g., inspections, actions, training, incidents)
Manage the day to day running of the online accident and incident reporting and recording system
Investigate accidents and incidents and gather information from investigations carried out Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience working in a similar Health & Safety Advisor type role ideally within the Engineering or Manufacturing sector
Experience conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, inspections and incident investigations with clear written reporting.
Experience delivering H&S inductions, toolbox talks and practical training to mixed workforces (factory and office)
