Overview
An established UK engineering company is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to develop advanced electromechanical positioning and automation systems for high-performance applications. Working with a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will support projects from concept through production, contributing to design, prototyping, testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop electromechanical systems and bespoke engineering solutions.
• Support motor sizing, motion control selection and system integration.
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Assist with software/HMI development for control systems.
• Build, test and validate prototypes.
• Participate in design reviews, engineering change activities and continuous improvement.
• Support production, reliability testing and quality compliance.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
• Experience in mechatronics, robotics, automation or electromechanical design.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• CAD experience (e.g. SolidWorks or similar).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Practical engineering approach.
• Degree, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience.
• Eligible for UK SC clearance.
Desirable: Defence or harsh-environment experience; motion control or automation exposure.
