Scrum Master/Agile Delivery Lead (SC or DV Cleared)

SC Cleared | Hybrid | Contract

We're supporting a major UK government technology programme that is expanding its engineering capability as part of a large-scale cloud and digital transformation.

We're looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join a high-performing Agile engineering team responsible for delivering modern cloud-native applications, secure digital services and operational platforms.

This is not a traditional Agile coaching or transformation role. Instead, you'll become an Embedded member of an engineering team, helping Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers and QA Automation Engineers deliver complex technical solutions within a secure government environment.

The Opportunity

Working alongside Lead Developers, Product Owners and senior technical stakeholders, you'll facilitate Agile delivery, improve delivery flow and help engineering teams deliver high-quality software at pace.

The environment is collaborative, technically focused and built around modern engineering practices, continuous delivery and cloud-native software development.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritise backlogs.
  • Improve ticket quality and sprint readiness.
  • Remove blockers and manage dependencies across engineering teams.
  • Support delivery planning, forecasting and reporting.
  • Help teams continuously improve delivery performance and Agile maturity.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers and QA Automation Engineers to improve delivery flow.
  • Balance Agile ways of working with the governance and assurance requirements associated with secure government delivery.
Technology Environment

Whilst this isn't a hands-on technical role, you'll be supporting engineering teams working across:

  • AWS Cloud
  • Python
  • Serverless Architecture
  • AWS Lambda
  • Step Functions
  • REST APIs
  • Event-Driven Systems
  • ECS Containers
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Cloud-Native Applications

An appreciation of modern software engineering and cloud delivery practices will be highly beneficial.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting software engineering or technical delivery teams.
  • Strong experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
  • Excellent backlog management and refinement capability.
  • Experience managing dependencies and removing delivery blockers.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.
  • Comfortable working alongside developers and technical teams.
  • Experience delivering within Government, Defence, Law Enforcement or other highly regulated organisations.
Desirable Experience
  • Active SC Clearance.
  • Experience working with AWS or cloud-native engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Jira and Confluence experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple Agile delivery teams.
Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile digital transformation programme delivering modern cloud-native technology within a secure environment.

The hiring team is specifically looking for someone who is:

  • Embedded within engineering teams rather than operating as an external Agile Coach.
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused rather than process-heavy.
  • Comfortable working day-to-day with Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Test Automation Engineers.
  • Passionate about improving delivery flow, removing blockers and helping engineering teams perform at their best.

If your experience is centred around enabling technical teams to deliver complex cloud and software engineering programmes, we'd be keen to hear from you.

Security Clearance

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance as a minimum.

To Apply

Please send your latest CV together with:
