Solution Architect who has EU Citizenship required to join a leading client based in Strasbourg, France.
Rate: 570 Euro pd
Full-time onsite roles. Hybrid after 3 months - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week.
Tasks:
- Understand, interpret, and respond to detailed business requirements specifications and implement that requirements understanding in the architecture solutions and specifications.
- Perform the tasks linked to the roles of a technology, data, or applications/services architect; customize and use the architecture, modelling or design tools to develop solutions.
- Based on the user requirements, design the required conceptual architecture models using the Agency's architectural standard tools, define the components of the solution, and analyse the components from existing systems that can be reused.
- Show multiple views through models to communicate the proposals effectively; define the most suitable architecture and technology solutions to assist the business in meeting its objectives.
- Design, develop, test and deploy customised artefacts (reports, data export/import scripts, diagrams, object layouts and design, tool configuration, etc.) according to a set of requirements.
- Work on evolving the architecture models during the life cycle of the architecture solutions by adding new technology evolutions and integrating expected requirements.
- Ensure correct IT design is implemented for the functional and non-functional requirements, providing the required information and specifications to the project team, and support resolution of problems during development, testing and operational activities.
- Develop, test, and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
- Identify system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
- Assess the usage of the Contracting Authority's modelling tools and advise on governance, conventions, procedures, methods, customisations and/or configurations to ensure most effective usage.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of architecture solutions design and modelling, and project management.
- Solutions architecture and design experience across a broad portfolio of software, cloud, and/or data projects.
- Hands-on knowledge in the administration, customisation and use of architecture, modelling, or design tools (eg Sparx EA).
- Able to perform at least one of the following sub-roles: technology architect, data architect, applications/services architect.
- Excellent knowledge of key IT domains: software engineering, security, system and network management, transaction processing, location and directory, user interface, international operations, data interchange, data management, graphics and image, operating system services, network services, and communications infrastructure.
- Experience in development.
- Experience of on-premises, virtualisation and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience of working in an agile software development environment.
- Experience and knowledge of OCP, Postgres and Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
- Capacity in writing and presenting documents; excellent communication skills.
- Experience and willingness of working in an international/multicultural environment.
- Biometrics knowledge is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in at least one of the following sub-roles: technology architect, data architect, applications/services architect.
- TOGAF practitioner certification.
