The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Trainee Press Brake Operator to join a fast-paced and growing sheet metal manufacturing business specialising in laser cutting, metal forming, and precision-engineered components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within manufacturing and engineering.
Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Working within a modern production facility, you will be trained to operate press brake machinery, interpret engineering drawings, and produce high-quality metal components to customer specifications. The business prides itself on delivering precision, quality, and fast turnaround times across a wide range of manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Learn to set up and operate press brake machines safely and efficiently
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions
Assist in bending and forming sheet metal components to specified tolerances
Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment
Support experienced operators with machine setups and tooling changes
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Follow all health and safety procedures
Work collaboratively as part of the production team to meet delivery schedules
What We're Looking For
A keen interest in manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication
Strong attention to detail
Good numeracy and communication skills
Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment
Previous factory, warehouse, machine operating, or engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential
