Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our client’s team, specialising in world class cutting services to the oil & energy industry (on and offshore). With over 30+ years' experience and over 1000 projects completed, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a hydraulic/mechanical engineering background and subsea experience to move their career forward within this well-established company. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of various projects within the organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting all safety, quality, and timeline objectives. For this role, you will require sound knowledge of the use of ‘SolidWorks’.

Responsibilities:

Assists in preparation of Feasibility/FEED Studies, Equipment Manuals, Method Statements and general procedures.

Assists in new tooling design trial and verification.

Developing project objectives.

Confirming performance of products by design and tests.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.

Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide project execution.

Coordinate within the engineering team to ensure that design and technical specifications are met.

Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment and materials.

Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Prepare and present project status reports to key stakeholders.

Provide technical guidance and support of equipment as required.

Perform project evaluations.

Essential Experience:

SolidWorks knowledge.

Previous experience in a hydraulic or mechanical background.

Understanding of subsea equipment/spreads.

Competent and proven knowledge in project planning and management.

Understand of offshore installations and subsea architecture.

Previous experience working within the oil & energy sector.

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Advantageous Skills:

* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

* Experience in an electrical background.

* Experience working with cutting (diamond wire preferable) equipment on or offshore.

* Knowledge of WROV's and ROV working principals.
