Mill Operator / Forklift Driver
Location: Maidstone Area
Employment Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established, family-run manufacturing business with a strong reputation in the industry. Having successfully operated for many decades, the company is continuing to grow and is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work. The successful candidate will be a team player, able to follow procedures accurately, and willing to support various operational tasks throughout their shift.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Preparing raw materials for the manufacturing process
Operating mill control panels and associated equipment
Ensuring production processes are completed in line with company procedures and quality standards
Maintaining accurate production records
Carrying out routine mill cleaning schedules
Packing finished products and stacking them onto pallets
Loading, unloading, and moving materials using a Forklift Truck (FLT)
Testing and approving raw materials
Safely storing products within warehouse racking systems
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture
Essential Requirements
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
Previous FLT operating experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, hardworking, and committed with a positive attitude
Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist where required
