Help shape the regulatory frameworks that drive our business performance

As our Regulatory Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping Cadent navigate and respond to the regulatory frameworks that underpin our business. This isn't just about reporting and compliance – it's about providing the insight, analysis and stakeholder engagement that help optimise performance and create value for both Cadent and our customers.

This is a role with a hybrid working arrangement and a Coventry office base, offering an excellent opportunity to build a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting Cadent. You'll work across the business, supporting the development of regulatory submissions, annual reporting, responses to consultations and engagement with Ofgem and other stakeholders.

You'll combine analytical thinking with strong communication and influencing skills, helping to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business actions and compelling external narratives.

Why you’ll love this role:
Regulatory Reporting & Submissions – Support the development of regulatory reports, submissions and responses to consultations and information requests.
Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships across Cadent and with external stakeholders, including Ofgem.
Data & Performance Analysis – Analyse and assure data to support regulatory reporting and performance monitoring.
Strategic Influence – Help influence the development of regulatory frameworks, including RIIO arrangements.
Expert Advice – Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on the regulatory framework and its impact on business decisions.
Executive & External Reporting – Prepare materials for executive reports and external publications on regulatory performance.
Performance & Incentives – Support monitoring of regulatory KPIs and revenue adjustment mechanisms, including incentives and uncertainty mechanisms. What you’ll bring:
Analytical Capability – Ability to analyse complex numerical and written information and translate it into meaningful insight.
Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling reports, presentations and business materials.
Stakeholder Management – Experience building relationships and influencing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Commercial Awareness – Ability to understand and communicate the value of business activities to customers and Cadent.

Organisation & Prioritisation – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Attention to Detail – High levels of accuracy and a commitment to delivering quality outputs.
Digital Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Qualifications & Experience:
Experience within the energy sector or a regulated industry is desirable.
Experience in economics, regulation or a similar analytical environment is desirable.

Apply now to play a key role in shaping regulatory performance, supporting strategic decision-making and helping Cadent deliver value for customers and stakeholders.

Interviews will be held on Monday 31st August at our head office in Ansty Business Park.

Disclaimer: While the closing date is set as mentioned, we reserve the right to close the application process earlier if necessary, depending on the unique circumstances of each role
