Mechanical Engineer - Munster
Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Cork this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing engineering team, supporting the delivery of our pharmaceutical projects in the Munster region. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will assist with delivering exciting projects in the region, and gain exposure to industry leading clients.
Your day will include:
Supporting the delivery of process piping and mechanical packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.
Coordinating with project teams, subcontractors and client stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Reviewing technical drawings, P&IDs, specifications and BIM models to ensure design intent and constructability requirements are met.
Monitoring site progress, resolving technical issues and assisting with planning and resource requirements.
Supporting quality inspections, testing, commissioning activities and project close-out documentation.
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience working with piping systems on pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial or process-led projects.
Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices, commissioning processes and industry standards.
Comfortable interpreting technical documentation, including P&IDs, isometrics and construction drawings.
Proactive, organised and collaborative, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
