Site Manager – Solar Farm (2-Month Contract)
Location: Near Sudbury
Duration: 2 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team on a utility-scale solar farm project near Sudbury. This is an immediate-start contract for approximately 2 months, working alongside an existing Site Manager to help deliver the project safely, efficiently, and to programme.
As the Principal Contractor's Site Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate and supervise subcontractors, and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors on site.
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with Principal Contractor responsibilities.
Monitor progress against the programme and report on site activities.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
Ensure RAMS are reviewed and adhered to.
Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Liaise with the existing Site Manager, client representatives, and project team.
Complete site documentation, inspections, and progress reports.
Identify and resolve site issues proactively to maintain programme.Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects.
Previous experience managing subcontractors as Principal Contractor.
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety legislation.
Valid SMSTS.
First Aid at Work certification.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Solar farm experience is desirable but not essential.What's on Offer
