ECG Facilities Services is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the on-site engineering team at Silverburn Shopping Centre, one of Scotland's premier retail and leisure destinations.
Established in 1994, ECG Facilities Services is a leading provider of Mechanical & Electrical maintenance across the UK. With more than 400 employees nationwide, ECG delivers facilities management services across commercial, retail and industrial environments, building long-term relationships through quality, reliability and technical expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent, static role within a busy retail environment, working as part of an established engineering team responsible for maintaining the site's electrical building services.
Salary & Benefits
* £42,000 salary
* Static role based at Silverburn Shopping Centre
* Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
* 1 in 4 weekend rota:
* Saturday: 10:00am – 8:00pm
* Sunday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
* Occasional back-shift cover (12:00pm – 9:00pm) as required
* 25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays (including 2 floating days)
* Company pension scheme
* Life Assurance
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the site's building services, helping to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient environment for retailers, visitors and colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems
* Reactive electrical fault finding and repairs
* Internal and external lighting maintenance
* Distribution board inspections and maintenance
* Monthly lighting and plant checks
* General electrical building maintenance
* Supporting and supervising specialist subcontractors
* Completing maintenance records using the CAFM system
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current Health & Safety legislation
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or Commercial Maintenance
* Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
