Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to work within a primary school, supporting students with autism to achieve their academic and personal goals. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about inclusive education.

The Role:

Deliver tailored one-to-one and small-group support for students with autism, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Support students in accessing the curriculum while fostering independence and confidence in their learning.
Encourage the development of emotional regulation, social skills, and effective communication strategies.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SEND professionals, and external agencies to provide consistent and effective support.
Implement individualised learning and support plans designed to meet each student's unique needs.
Track, monitor, and record student progress, contributing to ongoing assessment and development.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all students feel safe, valued, and supported.
The setting –

A primary school-based setting that provides a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment, where every pupil receives personalised teaching, care, and guidance to help them succeed and flourish.
Supporting each child to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally by adapting learning approaches and support strategies to meet their individual strengths, interests, and needs.

About you -
To be considered for the Autism Support Specialist role, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
