Payroll Supervisor

As the Supervisor, this role works closely with the management team to ensure the payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Alongside the day‑to‑day, you will drive improvements, support system changes, and champion a brilliant service experience for colleagues.
The role:
Oversee end‑to‑end high-volume monthly payroll
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
Resolve complex payroll queries with confidence and clarity
Keep payroll processes fully aligned with UK legislation
Produce regular payroll reports and insights for senior leaders
Drive engagement, performance, and continuous learning
Run regular 1:1s, team meetings, and training sessions
Skills required:
Experience managing payroll in a high‑volume environment
Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments, RTI, pensions, GDPR, and gender pay gap
Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivots) and solid Microsoft capability
A sharp eye for detail and a logical, solutions‑focused approach
