Avon Search is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home located in Winchester, Hampshire.

Part of a highly respected non-profit charitable foundation, this welcoming 13-bed residential care home is dedicated to providing exceptional care within a warm, friendly, and homely environment. The small size of the home allows the team to deliver truly personalised care, ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion while maintaining their independence and wellbeing.

The home provides high-quality residential care and short-term respite stays for older people who require additional support with everyday living. With a compassionate and experienced team, the home is committed to delivering person-centred care that enables residents to enjoy fulfilling, meaningful, and independent lives.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care while leading and supporting the care team throughout your shift.

Working closely with residents, families, and colleagues, you'll help ensure the highest standards of person-centred care are consistently achieved. You'll act as a role model for the team, supporting colleagues while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every resident.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and supporting the care team during day shifts
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities
Supporting medication administration and monitoring
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
Promoting a safe, positive, and welcoming environment
Encouraging residents' independence, wellbeing, and engagement
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the care team
About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about providing outstanding care and enjoys leading and motivating others.

You will have:

Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a residential care setting
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Experience supporting older people
Medication administration experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
A compassionate, proactive, and team-focused approach
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care

Full Time Permanent – Days Only
+10% enhancement for weekend shifts
+10% enhancement for night shifts (where applicable)
