About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Children's Support Workers to join our agency team, supporting a secure unit in Peterborough.

Key Responsibilities

Build positive and professional relationships with children and young people.
Support residents with daily routines, education, activities, and personal development.
Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Promote emotional wellbeing, safety, and positive behaviour.
Work collaboratively with residential staff and other professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in line with safeguarding and organisational policies.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and child protection at all times.Essential Requirements

Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential, educational, care, or similar setting.
Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours and complex emotional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A compassionate, resilient, and reliable approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
The legal right to work in the UK.Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship or Skilled Worker visas for this role. Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Desirable

Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
