My client is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Ground Maintenance Operative to join our team in Stoke-On-Trent. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining high standards, and want to make a visible difference within local communities, we'd love to hear from you.
What We Offer
💷 Salary: £24,507.16 per annum (approximately £13.47 per hour)
⏰ Hours: 35 hours per week
📅 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
🚐 Company Van: Available in applicable locations and can be taken home for commuting
🦺 Full PPE Provided

About the Role
As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining outdoor communal areas to a high standard, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and attractive for residents and visitors.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and being part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
✅ General grounds maintenance across hard and soft landscaped areas
✅ Grass cutting and hedge maintenance
✅ Litter picking and maintaining site cleanliness
✅ Shrub bed maintenance, including weeding and pruning
✅ Responding to fly-tipping incidents and waste clearance
✅ Safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment
✅ Working independently and collaboratively to meet service standards
What We're Looking For
Essential
✔ Previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience
✔ Ability to carry out physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
✔ Good communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Full UK Driving Licence (required)
Desirable
⭐ PA1 and PA6 Spraying Licences
These nationally recognised qualifications demonstrate competence in the safe handling and application of pesticides and are particularly useful for vegetation management and weed control activities.
