Transport Planner / Administrator

Office based: Bilsthorpe - Commutable from Newark-on-Trent, Mansfield, Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby, Alfreton, Ollerton, Worksop, Chesterfield, Retford
Do you have experience as a Transport Co-Ordinator, Planner, Administrator or similar looking for a secure permanent role, with a highly successful & continually expanding family run company, who are well known for looking after their dedicated employees?
On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader in a fast-paced role, where you will quickly become a valued member of a small & highly motivated & successful transport & logistics team.
In this role you will support the day-to-day planning and administration of a growing transport operation, by ensuring vehicles, drivers and deliveries are scheduled efficiently whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience.
This role would suit either an experienced Transport Planner looking for their next position, or, a junior / graduate planner or logistics administrator looking for training, development & longer-term career progression, with a great company who will invest in your career.
The Role:
Plan & schedule daily vehicle routes and driver allocations
Liaising with drives & customers to planning deliveries
Maintain transport records, delivery paperwork and compliance documentation
Assist with driver hours, tachograph and transport compliance administration
Support fleet maintenance scheduling, MOTs and servicing requirements
General transport office administration duties
The Person:
Previous experience in a transport, logistics or planning role
Knowledge of transport compliance, driver hours and tachograph regulations would be advantageous
Strong organisational and administration skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
