A great opportunity to work with an established business whose customer base has longevity and is growing. With investment planned for this fast-paced FMCG business this is the ideal time to join ahead of that change and be a key part of the next stage in this site's development.

The business needs an Operation's Manager who has the leadership and experienced to take ownership of the production facility, be visible and in touch with the teams and give clarity to the long-term vision for the business whilst being close to the daily challenges. A down-to-earth culture, this will suit a candidate who likes to be in and around the facility daily, making contact across the site and being involved. It needs an organised and structured approach to ensure the day-to-day KPI's are aligned with the strategic agenda and that all the functions work collaboratively.

There is a great 'one team' ethos here and a positive and open culture needing a confident leader to take the helm.

The client is particularly keen to secure a candidate from the food industry to draw on the expertise to operate at pace, make effective decisions with a focus on quality and customer service for the major food retailers.

Future investment is planned and the site is ready for growth so there is a lot to go at and some real opportunities to drive improvements and make your mark.

Delivering the production functions targets to plan.
Cross‑functional collaboration across Technical, Engineering, HSE and Supply Chain.
Driving service, quality and efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.
Labour control including agency labour inclusion and effective deployment.
Team development and building consistent performance.
Management of end‑to‑end from raw material intake to packing.

What You'll Bring

Food industry experience in a manufacture for retail environment is essential.
Production as your core discipline with strong shop‑floor presence.
Examples of delivering positive change across the KPI suite including labour and waste management.
Lean & CI capability.
Data fluency and clear communication.
Resilience and proven delivery in deadline‑driven environments. You'll join a supportive, straight‑forward business whose Senior Team is committed to developing their people. This role is stand alone so there will be autonomy but with significant support directly from a Head of Manufacturing and from senior members of the wider operations team. A great opportunity for a production management specialist who is keen to secure a role that focussed on driving maximum manufacturing capability with the support and collaboration from an experienced SMT and positive team culture.
