Immediate Start
£36k - £44k Annual
Contract/Project
Location: Lancashire (Multi-Site - Regional Travel Required)

Setting: Multi-Academy School Trust (Primary & Secondary)

Salary: £36,000 - £44,000 per annum (Depending on experience / NHS Band 6 equivalent)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: Autumn Term 2026 (or sooner if available)

About the Role

Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist looking to work strategically across a collaborative network of schools?

We are seeking a proactive, mobile Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to deliver high-quality, clinical support across our established school trust in Lancashire. Instead of being isolated in a single clinic, you will work directly within our diverse primary and secondary school communities, shaping communication-friendly environments and making a tangible difference where it matters most.

Because our trust spans multiple sites across the county, this role requires regular travel between schools, offering a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

Caseload Management: Assess, diagnose, and deliver targeted intervention plans for pupils with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), including developmental language disorders, social communication difficulties, and ASC.

Collaborative Practice: Work closely with school SENCOs, senior leadership, and teachers to integrate communication strategies into the everyday curriculum and IEPs (Individual Education Plans).

Staff Training: Design and deliver workshops and training sessions for school staff to build internal capacity and trauma-informed communication practices.

Regional Mobility: Travel efficiently between designated trust academies across Lancashire to provide consistent, equitable service delivery.

Reporting & Compliance: Complete robust clinical notes, write comprehensive statutory reports for EHCP reviews, and maintain HCPC-compliant documentation.

What We Are Looking For

Professional Credentials: A degree in Speech and Language Therapy, current registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), and membership with the RCSLT.

Schools Experience: Proven experience managing an independent paediatric caseload, ideally within mainstream school settings or specialist educational provisions.

Autonomy & Drive: The ability to work independently across multiple sites, manage your own diary effectively, and build strong relationships with diverse school teams.

Full UK Driving License: A full driving license and access to your own reliable vehicle are essential due to the travel requirements across Lancashire.

What We Offer

Competitive Package: Excellent salary framework tied to your experience, plus a comprehensive mileage allowance for all work-related travel.

Work-Life Balance: Term-time working options or standard generous holiday allowance aligned with local authority standards.

Trust Network Support: Work within a centralised, multi-disciplinary inclusion team alongside educational psychologists, therapists, and SEND experts.

Dedicated CPD: Funding and time allocated for external clinical courses, clinical supervision, and professional development.

How to Apply

If you are a mobile, passionate therapist ready to shape the communication strategy for an entire school trust across Lancashire, we would love to hear from you. Please click apply
