Position: Science Teacher (Part Time)

Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a highly successful secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a motivated and passionate Science Teacher for a part-time (0.4 FTE) / 17 hours per week position starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Science department within a school renowned for high academic achievement, exceptional behaviour and a strong culture of professional development. The role is ideal for an experienced teacher or ECT looking for a flexible, part-time teaching position.
The Role
The successful Science Teacher will:
Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop students' curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts.
Plan, assess and adapt learning to ensure all students make excellent progress.
Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive Science department.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student engagement.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young people.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
