The Role

We are looking for a committed full-time Teaching Assistant who can join the school starting in September 2026 for the remainder of the academic term. You will support teaching and learning throughout the full term, and the role may extend beyond this period depending on the school’s needs. From the outset, you will work closely with class teachers, and you will actively contribute to pupils’ progress by delivering targeted support and encouraging a positive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons as well as small-group activities

* Working with the teacher to plan and deliver engaging learning tasks

* Promoting positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, focused classroom

* Supporting children with additional needs so they can fully participate in lessons

* Preparing resources and helping ensure daily routines run smoothly

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will bring:

* A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent course

* Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting

* A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to pupil development

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

* Patience, empathy, and an understanding of individual learning needs

* Flexibility, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s education
