Site Engineer – HS2 Old Oak Common
Location: London

Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure and transport project in London. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a complex civils package involving highways, utilities, drainage, and associated infrastructure works.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor working on a nationally significant infrastructure scheme, delivering complex engineering works within a busy urban environment.
The Project
The project involves the delivery of major highways and enabling infrastructure works required to support the development of a large-scale transport facility. The works include road closures, traffic management, highway diversions, new access routes, utilities diversions, drainage, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks, pavement construction and associated civil engineering activities.
The successful candidate will be involved in delivering technically challenging works while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to maintain safe access, minimise disruption, and ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to specification.
The Role
The Site Engineer will support the technical delivery of site operations, ensuring works are set out accurately, delivered safely, and meet required quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Setting out highways, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete works
Producing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate engineering records
Completing QA documentation, ITPs and quality inspections
Raising RFIs and assisting with technical queries
Interpreting drawings, specifications and technical information
Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to monitor progress
Ensuring works are delivered safely, within programme and to specification
Maintaining site diaries, progress reports and survey records
Liaising with client representatives, design teams and supply chain partners
Requirements
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong setting out experience using Leica, Trimble or Topcon equipment
Experience delivering highways, drainage, utilities, earthworks or reinforced concrete packages
Good understanding of QA processes, ITPs and engineering documentation
Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
CSCS Card required
SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
