Shirley Parsons have been retained to partner with a highly respected, family-owned UK brewery, based in West Yorkshire, producing high-quality, nationally renowned ales with a long-standing heritage of award-winning products.
This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week (early finish on a Friday), reporting to the QA & Food Safety Manager.
QA Coordinator Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support the maintenance and implementation of the BRCGS Food Safety Standard, BFBI and Vegan certification requirements.
* Monitor and verify Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across brewing, racking and distribution operations.
* Review production and quality records for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
* Place products on hold or initiate corrective action where food safety, legality or quality standards are not met.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records in line with, site, legal and BRCGS requirements.
* Maintain document control systems, including SOPs, work instructions and associated records.
* Ensure traceability records are complete and support mass balance exercises.
* Conduct or support hygiene inspections and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
QA Coordinator – Skills & Attributes
Desirable
* 2+ years’ experience within a food or beverage manufacturing or general manufacturing
* Experience as an active HACCP team member
* Knowledge of food safety auditing (relevant qualifications desirable)
* Familiarity with BRCGS standards (advantageous)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data recording, analysis, and documentation
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Methodical and organised approach to work
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
