Prospero Teaching is looking for a Secondary Tutor supporting GCSE students in or around Stockport to deliver tailored tuition sessions to Key stage 3 & 4 students, who may need additional help with the Maths and English curriculum.
As a Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils education and boost engagement and attainment levels, whilst helping them reach the grades they may need for further education. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.
Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so their confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.
Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

Rate of pay GBP25 per hour through our umbrella company.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
6 months+ experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
