Our client, a reputable and established automotive company based in Erith, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team on an early shift.
This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV technicians to progress their careers within a professional and supportive environment. Competitive hourly rate up to £23, depending on experience
Overtime paid at 1.5 times the basic rate
Monday to Friday, 05:00 – 13:00 shift pattern
One in two Saturday morning shifts, with overtime pay

Conducting major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other commercial vehicles
Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including tyre rotations and oil changes
Diagnosing vehicle faults and planning repair strategies
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and managing inventory levels
Keeping accurate documentation of repairs and services
Providing emergency repair services at customer sites when necessary
Managing warranty claims and escalating issues as required
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and DVSA regulationsRequirements of a HGV Technician:
Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
Full UK driving licence relevant to the vehicle classes worked on
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Ability to identify faulty components in line with DVSA standards
Proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
