Induction Furnace Operator
Location: Beckton, East London
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Pin Point Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Induction Furnace Operator on behalf of a leading precious metals manufacturer based in Beckton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in precious metal processing. The successful candidate will have previous foundry experience, be confident operating induction tilt furnaces, and thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
The Role
As an Induction Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for safely melting, refining and processing precious metals using high-temperature induction tilt furnaces. Working as part of the refinery team, you will ensure production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate high-temperature induction tilt furnaces to melt and fabricate precious metal scrap, alloys, chlorides and oxides.
* Process and grain refined and unrefined precious metals.
* Carry out routine maintenance on furnaces and filtration systems.
* Use laboratory equipment, including calibrated balances and XRF equipment.
* Work closely with the Refinery Lead to prioritise and complete daily production activities.
* Maintain accurate production records where required.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards.
* Follow and promote Health & Safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
* Support other refinery duties as required (full training will be provided where necessary).
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience working in a foundry or precious metals manufacturing environment.
* Experience operating induction tilt furnaces.
* Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (training can be provided).
