Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coleford, Gloucestershire
Salary: £52,741 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) | 18-day break every 6 rotations

Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in the Coleford area for a Shift Electrician to join an established engineering team. The Role
As a Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and breakdown repairs to ensure maximum plant reliability and production uptime.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on manufacturing equipment
Completing preventative maintenance schedules using the CMMS system
Fault finding on motors, drives, control systems and production machinery
Repairing and maintaining AC & DC motors
Working on motor control circuits, lighting systems and electrical distribution equipment
Supporting maintenance on cranes, compressors and other ancillary equipment
Assisting with fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Working safely under permit-to-work procedures and site safety systems
Supporting continuous improvement and identifying long-term engineering solutions
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Previous experience within a manufacturing, process or industrial environment
Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
Experience with motors, motor control, PLCs and variable speed drives
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and preventative maintenance
Experience using CMMS systems (SAP experience advantageous)
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively within a shift engineering team
