Location: Office-Based in Battle Near Hastings, East Sussex

The Opportunity A leading specialist CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) rehabilitation contractor is seeking an experienced and diligent Compliance Manager to support expanding operations across the South of the UK.

Operating from a modern office environment, you will be the focal point for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, quality, and environmental frameworks. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and site teams to embed a strong compliance culture, managing critical audits and accreditations to ensure the safe delivery of major trenchless rehabilitation and lining projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain robust health & safety, quality, and environmental management systems.

Ensure rigorous, ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 frameworks.

Manage the internal and external audit programme, encompassing preparation, coordination, and the close-out of findings.

Monitor and interpret shifts in legislation, industry standards, and tier-one client requirements to update operational procedures.

Lead the investigation of incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances to deploy effective corrective actions.

Provide authoritative guidance and training to multidisciplinary site and office-based teams.

Liaise directly with certification bodies, regulators, and clients regarding compliance and accreditation.

Prepare detailed KPIs and management information for senior leadership, while supporting tender and pre-qualification submissions.

Technical Essentials

Experience: Minimum 2 years' proven experience in a Compliance, QHSE, or similar capacity within the drainage, utilities, or construction sectors.

Systems Knowledge: Strong working proficiency in managing and auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.

Operational Context: Experience supporting operational teams within live infrastructure environments.

Communication: Ability to work autonomously, influence stakeholders, and maintain exceptional accuracy in reporting.

Mobility: Full UK driving licence required.

Desirable: NEBOSH Diploma, IEMA qualification, or membership with a professional body (e.g., IOSH, CQI).
