The Supply Register is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Lecturer on behalf of Tyne Coast College. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic educator committed to delivering outstanding teaching and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
You will teach English across a range of programmes, helping students develop the literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills needed for further study, employment, and everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to learners of varying abilities.
Teach GCSE and/or Functional Skills English qualifications.
Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
Develop and adapt learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
Contribute to course development and quality improvement activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and student support teams to ensure positive learner outcomes.
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion across all areas of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
A degree in English, English Literature, Language, or a related subject.
Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for education and learner success.
The ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current FE teaching practices and assessment methods.
