Housing Maintenance Assistant
Covering locations across Bedfordshire & Oxfordshire
Up to £28,000 (including £2,000 car allowance)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and customer-focused Maintenance assistant to support the upkeep of our clients Independent Living centres. This will be across Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire so a Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll help ensure properties and communal spaces remain safe, clean and well maintained. Working independently, you'll carry out routine repairs, oversee maintenance activities and play an important role in delivering a positive living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete a range of minor repairs and planned maintenance tasks across communal areas and residents' homes.
Organise and prioritise maintenance work to ensure timely completion.
Carry out regular inspections of schemes, identifying maintenance issues and reporting any concerns.
Help maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
Liaise with and monitor external contractors working on site.
Keep accurate records of repairs and follow up on outstanding works where required.
Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors through clear communication.
Seek resident feedback to help improve services and identify opportunities for enhancement.The Ideal Candidate:
Practical experience carrying out general maintenance or property repairs.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A customer-first approach and commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
Confidence using IT systems to record work and manage tasks.
The ability to work independently and use your initiative.
