A friendly and high-achieving primary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 teacher to join a supportive school with a strong focus on delivering outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1, helping them develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition into Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 class
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and end of Key Stage 1 expectations
Be confident using assessment to monitor progress and support pupil attainment
Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire a love of learning
Have high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and pupil progress
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Be committed to contributing to the wider school community
The role will involve:
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Working collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 team and senior leaders to maintain high standards across the school
