This company is a reputable and thriving law firm and they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Litigation to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and develop the litigation department within a supportive and collaborative environment.
THE ROLE:
As the Head of Litigation, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s litigation practice. This includes managing a small team (1 Solicitor and 2 paralegals), handling complex cases, proving strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients. You will play a key role in driving business growth and maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence in litigation.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and manage the litigation department, including recruitment, training and performance management of staff.
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
* Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, landlord & tenant disputes, Contentious Probate, Contractual Disputes, Settlement agreements, civil litigation and employment disputes.
* Stay abreast of developments in litigation law practice, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this role, you need to be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE and a proven track record of success in managing and leading a litigation team. You should be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
