Job Title: Primary School Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Salford
Start Date: September
Salary: £92.63 - £125 per day
Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive primary school?
Do you have the confidence to independently cover classes across the primary age range?
Have you gained recent experience working within UK primary school classrooms?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Salford, rated 'Good' by OFSTED. The school has a supportive Senior Leadership Team and a positive learning environment where staff are valued and encouraged to develop professionally.
The school is looking to appoint an experienced HLTA on a long-term basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right HLTA. The successful HLTA will be responsible for covering classes across the school, delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting pupils' learning and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement. Previous experience covering classes within UK primary school classrooms is essential.
The successful HLTA will have:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Recent experience working within UK primary school classrooms
• Proven experience confidently covering whole classes independently
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
