About the Homes
Brand‑new children’s residential home supporting children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home will care for up to two children, offering a stable, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. You’ll be joining a strong, supportive Registered Manager and a team committed to high‑quality care, consistency, and positive outcomes.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in the daily care and development of young people living in the home. You’ll provide emotional and practical support, help create routines, and ensure the home remains a safe, structured, and child‑centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality care and support to young people
* Build trusting, therapeutic relationships and act as a positive role model
* Support young people with daily routines, education, activities, and appointments
* Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and safeguarding documentation
* Work collaboratively with the wider team, external professionals, and families
* Participate in sleep‑ins and follow the home’s rota pattern
* Uphold the home’s ethos, values, and commitment to Ofsted standards
* Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment
Requirements
* Direct experience in children’s residential care is essential
* Understanding of EBD and trauma‑informed practice
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Flexibility to work shifts, nights, and sleep‑ins
* A driving licence is ideal
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Children & Young People) are beneficial — training and qualifications can be funded
