Job Title: Planning Director
Location: Sheffield
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading, employee-owned planning consultancy in the appointment of a Planning Director to lead and grow its established Sheffield office.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced planning professional looking to take on a strategic leadership position, combining project delivery, team management and business development within a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of the Sheffield office while working on a diverse portfolio of projects including residential developments, strategic mixed-use schemes, urban regeneration, education, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy and enforcement matters.
The role:
Lead, mentor and develop an established planning team.
Manage major planning applications, appeals, Local Plan representations, site promotions and public inquiry work.
Develop existing client relationships while securing new business opportunities across the region.
Take responsibility for office performance, financial planning and resource management.
Contribute to the wider business strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
Collaborate with colleagues across planning, urban design, transport, architecture, sustainability and research.Requirements:
MRTPI Chartered Town Planner.
Around 10+ years' professional planning experience, ideally within consultancy or a combination of private and public sector.
Strong experience leading complex planning projects.
Proven leadership, people management and mentoring skills.
A successful track record in business development and client relationship management.
Full UK driving licence.What's on offer:
