Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Production Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. Duties
* Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components with precision and consistency
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete fabrication tasks
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
* Work with sheet metal, ensuring proper cutting, shaping, and fitting for assembly
* Conduct basic measurements and calculations using fundamental maths skills to ensure accuracy
* Assist with the fabrication of components through cutting, grinding, and assembly processes
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
* Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues during fabrication processes
* Experience with assembly processes is advantageous
* Relevant certifications or training in welding techniques are preferred but not essential
