General Operative / Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative/Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various operational tasks within our facilities, ensuring smooth workflow and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
Supporting the movement of goods around the site using manual handling techniques or machinery where appropriate
Preparing work areas by cleaning, organising, and setting up tools and materials
Assisting tradespeople or supervisors with specific tasks as directedEnsuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by disposing of waste and debris responsibly
Performing general labouring duties such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy items
Supporting team members in completing daily operational tasks efficiently

Requirements

Previous experience in a labouring or manual handling role is advantageous but not essential
Good physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the shift
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial or construction environments
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments if necessary

Working Days

Pay £13.50 / Overtime £20.25
