Brief

Mechanical Engineer needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Worcester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Engineer that takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate would need to come from a strong plumbing background and ideally hold their NVQ Level 3, however the client will also accept candidates with an NVQ Level 2 if you have the years' experience.

Daily duties will include - Plumbing, leaking pipework, AHUs, belt changes, filter changes etc.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Mechanical Engineer will include:

Undertake a proactive role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services. All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training
Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract
Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment
Take part in on call rota

What experience you need to be the successful Mechanical Engineer:

Previously worked within a maintenance environment
NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Services or Equivalent
Worked on Mechanical Systems, DHW, LPHW, CHW, Ventilation Systems
Previous Pipe Fitting Duties
