We are looking for a passionate Catering & Hospitality Tutor to join our specialist SEMH school for young people aged 14–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help students gain practical skills, achieve a recognised City & Guilds qualification, and prepare for future employment.
The Role
You will deliver the City & Guilds Catering & Hospitality course in our professional training kitchen, teaching students a range of cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and essential kitchen skills.
Students will build their portfolios through practical work, worksheets, and photographic evidence while developing confidence, teamwork, and employability skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging practical and theory lessons.
Teach cooking methods, food preparation, and kitchen safety.
Assess learner progress and maintain City & Guilds evidence.
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with autism and SEMH needs.
Maintain a safe, organised learning environment.
Support students to develop independence, confidence, and workplace skills.
About You
You will have:
Catering and Hospitality Instructor to deliver Level1 City and Guilds Catering and Hospitality awared, certificate and diploma.
A relevant qualification (or equivalent industry experience).
A teaching or assessing qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
A positive, patient approach and a passion for helping young people succeed.
