CSA Construction Manager – Data Centre Projects
Location: Camberly, Surrey
Reports to: Project Director / Senior Project Manager

Job Purpose
The CSA Construction Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works on data centre projects. This includes managing site activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires strong leadership, coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to manage complex interfaces between CSA and MEP packages within fast-paced project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Lead all CSA construction activities, including groundworks, structural works, and architectural finishes
* Manage project programme and ensure alignment with key milestones and deadlines
* Coordinate closely with MEP and fit-out teams to ensure seamless integration
* Oversee subcontractor performance and site operations
* Support delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Promote and enforce a strong Health & Safety culture on site
* Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, policies, and procedures
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Drive continuous improvement in safety performance
Commercial & Programme Management
* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance
* Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
* Support commercial teams with variations, claims, and cost reporting
* Ensure works are delivered within agreed financial and programme constraints
Quality Assurance
* Implement and manage QA/QC procedures across all CSA works
* Review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements
* Ensure works are delivered to a high standard of quality
* Manage snagging, defects, and project close-out
Stakeholder & Team Management
* Lead site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
* Provide regular progress updates and reports
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across all project parties
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a CSA Construction Manager on large-scale construction projects
* Strong background in civil, structural, and architectural works
* Experience in data centre or mission-critical environments preferred
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage complex programmes and multiple subcontractors
* Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Relevant site certifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH)
Project management qualifications advantageous
Desirable Experience
Experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data centre projects
Knowledge of commissioning and handover processes in critical environments
Experience working on international or multi-phase projects
