Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Derby
Salary: £47,000-£50,000 + Car Allowance
Sector: Offsite Construction
We have partnered with a specialist offsite construction contractor delivering truly unique projects across the UK. The role requires a competent, standalone QS with solid measuring experience and the ability to manage packages with limited supervision. This opportunity suits candidates with around 5-10 years' experience who are comfortable working across contractor environments and can contribute quickly due to the urgent nature of the hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion
Undertake accurate measurement and cost planning for works
Prepare and manage valuations, variations and final accounts
Liaise with project teams to ensure cost control and financial reporting
Review and administer JCT & NEC forms of contracts
Support procurement of subcontract packages where required
Maintain accurate records and commercial documentation
Contribute to project forecasting and budgeting activitiesExperience Required:
5-10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Proven ability to work independently on commercial activities
Strong measuring experience across relevant construction packages
Experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor
Understanding of standard construction contracts
Competent in cost management, reporting and commercial processes
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyAdditional Information:
Hybrid working pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
