Credit Controller
position for a busy automotive business based in
Clay Cross
. Working
Monday to Friday
, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing company, salary basic starts at
£29,120k
Job Duties Include:
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received within agreed credit terms.
Proactively chase outstanding debts via telephone, email and written correspondence whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Allocate customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
Resolve invoice queries efficiently by liaising with customers, dealerships and internal departments.
Monitor customer credit limits and identify potential credit risks.
Prepare and issue account statements, reminders and final demands where required.
Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all account information is up to date.
Produce regular aged debt reports and provide updates to senior management.
Assist with month-end processes including account reconciliations and reporting.
Work closely with the Sales, Service and Accounts departments to resolve payment disputes promptly.
Ensure all credit control activities comply with company policies and financial procedures.
Support the wider accounts team with additional administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience within a
Credit Controller
role
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Confident dealing with customers at all levels whilst maintaining professionalism.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with dealer management systems or accounting software would be advantageous.
