We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our growing clients Research & Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong technical and fabrication skills who enjoys problem-solving, testing new products, and contributing to product innovation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the R&D Department, ensuring that all new systems, hardware, profiles, and product developments are thoroughly evaluated, prototype-built, and approved prior to release.

Working closely with the Design Department, suppliers, and external testing bodies, you will help drive product quality, performance, and compliance while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Build, evaluate, and approve new systems, hardware, profiles, and product developments.
Work closely with the Systems Design Technician and Design Department to test and validate new products.
Fabricate products for both in-house and external testing.
Prototype and assess new systems to ensure they meet performance and quality requirements.
Attend and witness testing carried out by external testing facilities.
Maintain and update the company Knowledge Base and other relevant technical systems.
Support the design and approval process for new tooling and manufacturing methods.
Review fabrication and construction details within technical manuals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Provide feedback and recommendations to the Design Department regarding improvements or corrections.
Offer technical guidance and advice to colleagues on new products and systems.
Complete all required documentation and administration relating to new product approvals.
Assist with the fabrication and installation of exhibition and demonstration stands.
Liaise with suppliers to source prototypes and coordinate testing of new and updated products.Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Identify and report any quality issues or defects.
Minimise waste and support efficient working practices.
Contribute ideas and recommendations for product and process improvements.Essential Skills & Experience

Experience within Fabrication
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation.
Hands-on experience with product assembly, fabrication, and testing.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Competent IT skills and ability to maintain technical records and databases.What We Offer
