Are you an organised and enthusiastic individual with a passion for science? We are working with a supportive secondary school based in Hounslow who are seeking a committed Science Technician to support their science department on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Opportunity

As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for providing practical and technical support to the science team. You will help ensure lessons are well prepared, laboratories are maintained to a high standard, and students have access to safe and engaging practical experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare practical materials and equipment for science lessons.

Support teachers during experiments and practical activities.

Maintain laboratory areas, equipment, and resources.

Assist with stock management and ordering supplies.

Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate records.

Ensure laboratories are organised and ready for daily use.

Work alongside the science department to support effective teaching.

Requirements

Previous experience in a science, laboratory, or technical role is desirable.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Right to work in the UK.
