The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitably experienced candidates.
Deliver engaging, well-planned and differentiated lessons that challenge and motivate learners.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
Monitor and assess progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities faculty.
Support enrichment activities, educational visits and extracurricular opportunities.
Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a History specialist who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
Can engage and inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and student conduct.
Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing.
Works collaboratively and contributes positively to the wider school community.
