Rotherwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dispersed Housing Support Worker on behalf of a well-established organisation supporting vulnerable adults across Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping people achieve and maintain independent living.
This is a community-based role, supporting individuals living in dispersed accommodation across Preston, with regular travel to Chorley, Leyland and Fleetwood. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
The Role
As a Dispersed Housing Support Worker, you will manage your own caseload, providing practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of complex needs. You will help customers develop independent living skills, sustain their tenancy and access the services they need to move forward positively.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of clients living in dispersed accommodation.
* Complete support, needs and risk assessments.
* Develop and review person-centred support plans.
* Carry out regular welfare visits and property inspections.
* Support clients to develop independent living and budgeting skills.
* Assist with accessing benefits, healthcare, education and employment.
* Liaise with housing providers, local authorities and external agencies.
* Support clients to sustain their tenancy and move into long-term accommodation.
* Monitor rent accounts and encourage timely payments.
* Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour.
* Maintain accurate case notes, reports and support records.
* Ensure properties meet health and safety standards and report repairs.
* Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to positive outcomes.
* Promote equality, inclusion and safeguarding at all times.
* Work in line with organisational policies and professional standards.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within supported housing, homelessness, tenancy support or community-based support services.
* Experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.
* Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
* Confident working with external agencies and partner organisations.
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
