A leading property and construction consultancy in London is looking for an Assistant Project Manager with Cat A and Cat B experience to join its established project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager who is recently chartered, working towards chartership, or has up to three years' post-qualification experience within construction consultancy.
The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial office fit out and refurbishment projects for landlords, occupiers, investors, and corporate clients. This Assistant Project Manager role would suit an ambitious Assistant Project Manager who wants greater project responsibility, direct client exposure, and a clear route to Project Manager level. The successful Assistant Project Manager will have practical Cat A and Cat B experience and the confidence to coordinate consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across fast-paced London projects.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Assistant Project Manager's role
The Assistant Project Manager will support commercial projects from initial briefing and feasibility through design, procurement, construction, handover, and close-out.
The Assistant Project Manager will assist with programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, project reporting, risk management, contract administration, meeting preparation, and contractor liaison. They will attend client and site meetings, monitor actions, maintain project documentation, and help ensure each scheme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
The role will provide strong exposure to Cat A landlord works, Cat B occupier fit outs, office refurbishments, and wider commercial property projects across London.
The Assistant Project Manager
The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:
Prior experience within a construction consultancy
Cat A and Cat B commercial fit out experience
Up to three years' post-qualification experience
Chartered status, or progress towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant qualification
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
Knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial project delivery
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
A proactive and commercially aware approach
