ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business in Norfolk.
This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting quality across a busy production environment. Working closely with the Quality Manager, production teams and other departments, you will investigate quality issues, lead corrective actions, support audits and use manufacturing data to improve process performance and reduce defects.
The role:
Investigate internal and external non-conformances.
Complete root cause analysis and manage corrective and preventative actions.
Set up and monitor Statistical Process Control across key products and production processes.
Carry out internal audits and support external BRCGS and ISO audits.
Coordinate customer complaints from investigation through to resolution.
Review and update SOPs, work instructions and quality procedures.
Maintain calibration systems, product records and quality documentation.
Monitor quality performance, including scrap, quarantined products and customer complaints.
Train and support colleagues on quality systems, procedures and manufacturing standards. What we are looking for:
Previous quality experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience investigating manufacturing defects and non-conformances.
Knowledge of root cause analysis, CAPA and internal auditing.
Experience working with BRCGS, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 standards.
Understanding of product safety and HACCP principles.
Confident working with production data, quality KPIs and process measurements.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Experience within FMCG, packaging, plastics or another high-volume manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant.
Internal auditor qualifications, IOSH, laboratory experience or Six Sigma knowledge would be beneficial but are not essential
Benefits:
