Senior Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste Management
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 7:00am-4:00pm
My client is looking for a Senior Site Chemist to join our team based in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in a Site Chemist or Lab Chemist role for a Waste Management company.
You will be responsible for the safe operation of the site, waste handling, and liaising with site management to implement day-to-day work requirements and be responsible for training and developing fellow site chemists. Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling
Develop and train chemists, and maintain stock rotation
Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time
Liaise with site management to implement day-to-day work requirementsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
Previous experience as a site chemist or related role, working for a Hazardous Waste Management Company.
In-depth knowledge of waste acceptance regulations and HSE segregation guidelines
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to train and develop staff
